Enduring the Stench of Trump’s Rotting Mind

July 16, 2019

By Karen

Sit back and imagine what Mike Pence and members of Congress smelled when they visited Trump’s concentration camps on our southern border. Sweaty bodies in un-air-conditioned Texas heat that haven’t bathed in over a month, wearing the same clothes they walked through dirt in for weeks from Central America. Teeth that haven’t been brushed in all that time. Children’s underwear and diapers soaked with urine, loaded with feces.

Take a deep breath. Take it all in.

Are you gagging yet? You should be. That’s the same fetid stench permeating the White House right now, but it doesn’t come from immigrants. It’s the odor of Trump’s mind decomposing before our eyes.

Today everyone’s panties are in a bunch over Trump’s tweets telling four nonwhite female members of Congress to “go back where you came from.” Trump is now finally and openly being called a racist. Nancy Pelosi wants the House to pass a resolution condemning those tweets.

Yada, yada, yada. More words. Empty gestures to deflect that Congress is sitting there watching the clock run out, hoping, HOPING they won’t have to do anything really mean to Trump or his enablers before we the voters stomp Trump and everything he stands for at the polls in 2020.

The focus should be squarely on the fact that Trump’s already-limited ability to reason has dropped into what would be the red-alarm zone for anyone else.

Think about it. Starting with the witless names he’s coined for his enemies. “Sleepy” Joe Biden. “Crooked” Hillary. “Little” Adam Schiff. “Cryin’” Chuck Schumer. Jeff “Flakey.” “Lyin’ Ted Cruz.”

Calling Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” was the dizzying height at which his creativity peaked because it, at least, indicated awareness that there was a female Native American in history.

His latest, “Go back where you came from,” isn’t clever, isn’t creative. It’s a cliché repeated by ignorant racists since the beginning of time.

The media and Washington should be fixating on Trump’s obviously deteriorating mind. Pundits debating Trump’s master reelection plans or strategies that don’t exist should be replaced by video loops of Trump’s babbling, circular reasoning, and repetition of words ad nauseam in what he thinks pass as a substitute for thought.

The country needs a steady stream of this reality like a water torture until Trumpers can’t refute that DONALD TRUMP IS MENTALLY UNFIT TO BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

Trump has never been a leader, due to his towering ignorance of everything that doesn’t touch on his own self-interest. But now his brain is rotting at an unmistakably steady clip. He can’t form sentences. He can’t pronounce words. His vocabulary is reducing to one-syllable words.

I’ve reached the point where I ignore or dismiss his tweets. The real concern should be how much time he increasingly devotes to tweeting and how garbled and nonsensical the result is. He’s behaving like a two-year-old.

Congress must stop slow-walking Trump’s inevitable downfall. We’ve got a dementia patient with demonic tendencies sitting in the Oval Office with the nuclear codes.

Pelosi needs to stop playing coy and tell her committees to cut the empty threats and delays and start slinging subpoenas and contempt citations. The House needs to make the case — and fast — that the unelected squatter in the White House is a danger to the world and needs to be removed.

Democrats Must Not Help Trump Run Out the Clock

May 23, 2019

By Karen

By delaying an impeachment inquiry (which is just fact-finding, not actual impeachment), Nancy Pelosi is in danger of becoming the House’s Mitch McConnell.

She says Trump isn’t worth it. Impeachment could make Trump a martyr and more popular, like it did with Bill Clinton.

To that I say, bullshit. Clinton just diddled an intern. Trump’s incompetent and running a crime syndicate out of the Oval Office to enrich himself and his circle. There’s a difference.

A comfortable majority of voters understand that Trump has been a criminal for decades. The only reason it’s coming out now is because he’s president and his shady behavior gets greater scrutiny. He’s not heading to jail yet because he’s president. It’s a real Catch-22.

I suspect what Democrats are thinking, although no one has dared say it, is: “There, but for the grace of God, go I.”

Most of them must have shady campaign contributions and business deals in their pasts or they wouldn’t be millionaires today on government pay. They may fear that if they get too aggressive with Republicans willing to commit crimes to protect Trump, when the shoe’s on the other foot and a Democratic president makes any misstep, payback will be hell. Like the Golden Rule has ever mattered to Congress.

It’s nonsense. There will never be a Democratic dictator. It’s an oxymoron. If Democrats’ hearts and intentions are pure and they’re serious about learning the truth about Trump, they have nothing to fear.

If they do nothing, they will be remembered as the Congress that stood by while a felon ran this country into a ditch and walked away even richer.

The time to act is NOW. Every day Trump walks free to commit crimes, lie and further damage our global reputation and our government by stuffing it with corrupt idiots, the blame lies with Democrats.

Even the federal courts see the necessity of fast-tracking Trump’s ridiculous lawsuits to squash everything that proves his guilt. In the most scathing terms, two judges denounced Trump’s lawyers’ baseless claims of congressional overreach and executive privilege. They  denied requests for stays pending appeal to get documents into Congress’s hands faster. They’ve thrown Trump against the ropes on his finances and taxes.

The only thing standing in the way of Democrats removing this festering tumor eating at the presidency is Democrats themselves. Most Americans WANT TRUMP GONE.

The voters who don’t agree by now must themselves be too ignorant or criminal to matter. They won’t outnumber decent voters in 2020. They won’t get to keep Trump or put another backward ass-clown in power. We’re on to them. I say, let the Russians have them.

No one wants another congressional Democrat making a whiny speech to an empty chair at a hearing because another Trump toady flouted a subpoena. No more nasty letters. No more threats of fines these traitors will never pay. No more deadline extensions.

If someone defies Congress to shield Trump, they should be immediately declared in contempt, a warrant issued, and the person jailed. Any other ordinary American would be thrown in the slammer for less. These people are not above the law.

And neither is Trump. Every moment he goes unpunished, he looks in the mirror and sees a dictator on par with Putin, Kim or Duterte. Since Mueller wimped out and didn’t indict, Trump believes nothing can touch him. He wastes his days watching TV, chatting on the phone with his BFF Putie, making nonsensical speeches and tweeting garbage to keep morons motivated.

Enough.

Yesterday Trump said he will not work with Democrats until all the investigations stop. In essence, he refuses to do the job he was elected for, so he needs to be removed. The country needs leadership, not paranoia.

Congressional Democrats must launch the full force of their power at this tyrant until he’s gone, one way or the other. Impeachment, 25th Amendment, resignation, stroke. I don’t care how he goes, as long as he goes.

And once he’s out, if he’s still alive, let the courts nail him on the crimes he’s used his immunity in the White House to hide from. Trump’s prison sentence can’t begin soon enough so the country can sweep up the mess this 800-lb. gorilla made.

Here’s the deranged speech Trump made in the Rose Garden yesterday after throwing a hissy fit in front of Pelosi and Schumer in what should have been a meeting on infrastructure. At about 5:00 he unwittingly confesses that Don Jr. called him before his infamous meeting with Russians. At 9:55, Trump shows his notes, which consist of big graphics that look like a child’s flashcards, rather than text like any adult would use.

The wait to see Trump brought to justice is infuriating, but on another level, there’s a morbid pleasure in watching the orange buffoon who can’t even cope with his own baldness have a meltdown over being faced with multiple felonies and the certainty of global exposure and humiliation. When that day comes, the world will rejoice.

Tide is Finally Turning on Trump

January 27, 2019

By Karen

Before a tsunami hits, the low tide before it recedes an unnatural distance, exposing acres of beach never seen before. People come out to marvel at it, to play on land that just hours earlier was deep under water.

The tide’s been going out since Trump’s inauguration, pushed back with his and his enablers’ incessant barrage of boasts, lies and denials. His emboldened family, cabinet members and other enablers have been playing on the newly exposed beach — running roughshod over the rule of law, naively believing Trump and his almighty tweets will keep the tide back forever and they’ll always own the beach.

They don’t hear the growing roar just beyond the horizon. The tide is turning and gathering strength.

For the first two years of Trump, the roar was little more than the muttering of the disenfranchised majority of voters who got Trump against their wishes.

Discontent grew until the November 2018 mid-terms, when Democrats achieved the unthinkable: their votes swamped Republican gerrymandering, voter suppression and intimidation and outright cheating to reclaim the House.

They even called it the Blue Wave.

That was the moment the tide turned. I’ve considered Nancy Pelosi a ditz, but as Speaker of the House again, she’s Trump’s worst nightmare.

Not only did Nancy refuse to give Trump a penny for his wall, she and Chuck Schumer baited Trump into bragging he’d own the ensuing government shutdown. On TV, so even the dimmest MAGA moron can’t refute it.

The shutdown allowed Nancy to yank what Trump lives for — an opportunity to spout his State of the Union litany of lies in the Capitol before Congress, the Supreme Court and a TV audience of millions.

On another front, Michael Cohen’s been subpoenaed to testify before Congress about Trump’s criminal conduct over the years.

On a third front, Trump’s long-time friend Roger Stone finally got arrested. His indictment quotes Stone’s texts and emails about conspiring with Wikileaks. And don’t overlook that Trump’s hand-picked toady, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, didn’t stop the FBI from hauling Stone in.

Fourth, Paul Manafort, already rotting in prison watching his hair dye fade, got summoned to court to face another possible 10 years in jail, on top of the 7-10 already in play. Mueller’s lawyers advised the judge NOT to let Manafort’s cooperation influence her sentencing decision.

Fifth, Rudy Giuliani has been on TV digging Trump’s hole even deeper by saying Trump was negotiating with Moscow for his tower right up to Election Day.

Meanwhile, Trump let the government shutdown grind on until it endangered air travel and airport security. After bringing the country to the brink of economic standstill, he agreed to reopen the government for three weeks — and got no concessions or wall financing in return.

Some tough negotiator.

Trump compelled six Republican senators to join Democrats on reopening the government. It’s a cooling stream of defections, now that Trump’s looking isolated and impotent. His approval rating is around 36-37 percent. So, roughly six in 10 people think Trump’s a chump.

Sixth, House committees, now headed by Democrats, are poised to let subpoenas flow, armed with power to get serious about Trump’s crimes.

You can tell Trump’s increasingly unhinged by his repeated babbling about South American women being kidnapped and restrained with duct, electrical or blue tape (he varies) and smuggled en masse across the border by drivers who turn left, no right, no left, to cross into the country illegally.

Nobody knows what he’s talking about. He told the story again during his January 25 speech to reopen the government. Here’s another instance (I cut to it at 8:45)…

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling change in the air. The government has reopened, but Trump’s State of the Union is still unscheduled.

I hope Trump doesn’t think he’ll take the government hostage again just as the employees are shoveling through their work backlogs and piles of overdue personal bills he created. If he tries, I believe Congress will kick Mitch McConnell in the nuts and come together to stop Trump. Enough’s enough.

Pelosi will let Trump use shutdowns as his “I’ll hold my breath until you give me what I want!” when Hell’s covered with icebergs.

And Mueller hasn’t even shown his hand yet.

For the first time since the plague of Trump descended, I feel fresh ocean breezes. When all the waves converge and the tsunami of justice hits Trump, Nancy Pelosi and Robert Mueller will be riding its crest. And finally, the fetid stench of Donald Trump will be washed away, and his bloated orange carcass will be tossed onto the ash heap with history’s other failed dictators.

Obama, First You Gotta Kill the Rats

March 11, 2010

By Yul

Obama’s finally getting fired up in the last 2 minutes of the healthcare reform game, delivering rousing speeches, railing against self-serving politicians and a couple of heinous insurance practices.

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi’s making backroom deals for votes and Kathleen Sebelius is futilely trying to get insurers to cooperate, while they tell her point-blank premiums are going even sky-higher if Obama’s bill passes.

So let’s recap…

Obama wants to give private insurers 30 million more customers, and he’s leaving them some big loopholes like the birthday rate hike so they can still stick it to people.

Obama wants federal funds (i.e., your taxes) to help pay ransom-grade insurance premiums. If you can’t afford health insurance, he’ll throw in a chunk of your taxes to make up the difference.

And the stupid Republicans are calling this a GOVERNMENT takeover of healthcare?

Sounds to me like the government is making itself and every American a hostage of the private insurance industry.

And not one WORD of this is about anybody actually seeing a doctor. It’s all about insurance premiums — and the built-in profit nobody but Sebelius dares to mention.

Obama needs to face facts. Private insurers cannot be legislated into honesty. Their business model’s survival depends on cold-hearted greed.

Let me put it in simple cat terms…

Say a town has a voracious pack of rats eating all the grain in the community silo. People are dying of starvation. So the town council decides the fix is to increase the amount of grain in the silo, mandating that every farmer pour his whole harvest into that silo.

What does the town end up with? More dead people and fatter rats.

It’s the same with healthcare reform. Obama wants everybody to feed the rats when he should be killing them.

McCain: Evading Baldness & Facts

September 30, 2008

By Fred

Up against that sleek young black cat Obama, it’s a shame that a scarred old white tom like John McCain never took a cue from Patrick Stewart or Yul Brynner. The media could be comparing him to a capable starship commander, boldly going where no man has gone before, or the mesmerizing, virile King of Siam.

Instead, he flaps a few white wisps across his chrome dome like a wimp. Who can take Mr. Straight Talk seriously when he can’t even acknowledge the state of his scalp?

McCain talks tough, but wind and water must scare him to death. His comb-over means that a sudden gust, a dip in a pool, or a shower leaves his hair on the right side hanging nearly to his chin.

Imagine that photo on the cover of Time.

If he can’t face baldness, what other realities is he avoiding? Let’s start with Congress’s failure to pass the Wall Street bailout. McCain blamed Democrats, saying:

“Senator Obama and his allies in Congress infused unnecessary partisanship in the process.”

Truth/Reality: 140 Democrats sided with Bush and voted for the measure. Only 65 Republicans did likewise.

Obama never presumed to spear-head the process. It was McCain’s grand gesture of suspending his campaign to rally his buddies in Washington that failed spectacularly, with 133 of them telling him to go pound kitty litter by voting no.

Republicans are trying to pin the blame on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for saying that 8 years of their failure to rein in naked greed caused this mess.

According to them, Pelosi wounded their sensitivities so deeply, they had to cling to their status quo just to spite her, instead of passing legislation to put some long-needed controls in place.

Truth/Reality: They’re afraid that their clueless constituents, who don’t understand the implications of doing nothing, will vote them out of their cushy jobs in November’s elections.

While Wall Street swirls down the bowl and takes the world economy with it, Republicans and John McCain hide behind wispy excuses and do nothing.

OK, McCain, when’s this “change” you’re promising ever going to start? We need it now.
